Why

Drying laundry on a drying rack protects your clothing, and it saves the energy that a dryer would use.

How

Although the dryer may make your laundry look nice, it's damaging your clothing. And it uses six times more electricity than your washing machine - that costs something. (1, 2) Dry your laundry outside or inside on a rack instead.

Dryers are harmful to our climate because of their large electricity consumption: while washing clothing at 40 °C and drying it on a drying rack produces 0.5 kg of carbon dioxide, washing the clothes at the same temperature and drying them in a dryer produces 2 kg. (2)
